» Packing a Portable Moving Container is like Packing a Suitcase

Packing a Moving Container Made Simple

Good packing is essential to a stress free move. So think of packing a moving container as packing a suitcase. You start by collecting items you’ll need to help you pack – furniture pads, boxes, bubble wrap, etc. Then you get your luggage out. In this case, it’s a little larger and you’ll want to line the portable moving container with paper pads.

You want to place heavy items like appliances and furniture in your container first. Just like you wrap the gifts you get on vacation for friends and family back home, you’ll want to wrap your appliances and furniture to minimize scratches, dirt or other types of damage.

Then you fill open spaces with boxes or other miscellaneous items to provide stability. Always pack from floor to ceiling, with the lightest items on top. All along the way, distribute weight evenly from end to end and side to side. You’ll also want to pack items tightly, like you do in a suitcase, to help prevent shifting during transit.

And finally, remember to secure all items with loading straps. Just do not apply too much force or you might damage your items. Then, close the door, lock it up and you are ready to roll.
